2nd annual Easter Pancake Breakfast

Garrett Langenbrunner whippin’ up some batter in the kitchen at the Cloquet Senior Center for the breakfast. Garrett is a veteran skater in the Cloquet skateboard scene and an active volunteer in the local effort to build a concrete skatepark.

On Saturday, March 30th 8am-11am the Cloquet Skatepark Association hosted their 2nd annual pancake breakfast in support of a new skatepark in Cloquet, MN. Over 20 volunteers made up of Cloquet skaters families and friends helped serve over 200 people. Cloquet Community Education also held an easter egg hunt event in the nearby Pine Valley park. Families attending the egg hunt were welcome to enjoy pancakes, sausage and juice prepared and served by the skateboarders of Cloquet, MN. A silent auction was held with products donated by Candygrind Clothing, Damage Boardshop and other local shops. Information about the park was also on display for the public to learn about our journey to build a skatepark. In the end everyone was fed,  funds were raised and most importantly we all had fun!

A special thank you to all the skaters who volunteered and people who donated silent auction items.

Keep pushing,

-Matthew Q. Anderson
